MicroH2 | The Hydrogen & Energy Revolution
MicroH2 is dedicated to advancing the global energy transition by pioneering next-generation electrochemical devices. By applying Porous Atom's core technologies, we are redefining the efficiency and scalability of hydrogen generation, energy storage, and carbon reduction.

The Unibody Innovation
The core of MicroH2 technology is the Unibody Silicon-Based Ceramic Electrode. Traditional electrochemical cells rely on a "sandwich" of separate components—flow plates, gaskets, gas diffusion layers, and electrodes—all held together by mechanical pressure. This creates high contact resistance and multiple points of failure.
MicroH2 utilises our patent-pending additive manufacturing process to print these functions into a single, monolithic ceramic structure.
-
Zero Contact Resistance: By integrating the flow field and electrode into one continuous phase, we maximise electron and ion transport.
-
Sub-100u Microfluidics: We engineer internal fluid channels finer than a human hair, ensuring uniform reactant distribution and rapid product removal.
-
Silicon-Based Ceramic Durability: Our materials offer superior thermal and chemical stability compared to polymer-based systems, allowing for higher operating temperatures and longer life cycles.
Strategic Applications
-
Hydrogen-based Fuels: Ultra-efficient electrolyser modules for decentralised and industrial-scale production of hydrogen-based fuels, such as ammonia and methanol.
-
Carbon Valorisation: High-precision flow-cells for the electrocatalytic reduction of CO2 into sustainable fuels and feedstocks.
