The Smart Microneedle Platform

The Episense platform is built on 3D-Printed Multi-Material Microneedle Arrays. We have moved beyond the limitations of solid needles to create a "lab-on-a-patch."

  • Controlled Porosity: Each microneedle is engineered with controlled internal porosity, allowing body fluids (blood, sweat, or interstitial fluid) to be drawn in automatically via capillary action.

  • Integrated Conductivity: Using high-resolution multi-material printing, we embed conductive pathways directly into the needles. This allows for instantaneous electrochemical analysis without the need for external sampling.

  • Painless Point-of-Care: The microneedle geometry is optimized to reach the dermal layers for high-fidelity data while avoiding nerve endings, ensuring a completely pain-free experience for humans and animals alike.
